What is “Soaking Prayer”?

“Soaking prayer”, often also known as contemplative prayer, or listening prayer, is a positioning of the heart before God, in a way that rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. It is not really a time to come before the Lord with long prayer requests, or indeed with many words. Sometimes the most profound moments are times of silence and rest in His presence!

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength…… (Isaiah 30:15)

We would encourage you to listen to soft worship music such as the music embedded below, and simply focus your heart on the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust in His Goodness! Get refreshed in His Presence! Invite the Holy Spirit to minister to you deeply. You will never be the same again!
